I hope blindly, looking up

my heart falls between my legs

i will wait with my naive mind

dancing with imagined smiles

an aching chest hoping for nothing

i will wait as my bones pierce my flesh

glazed eyes and a grin on my lips

I’m worlds away from reality

on the other side from him

trapped and confused and longing

only he feels like home.
